Procurement engineers at WESA are in charge of the acquisition of technical equipment for industrial activities. They work with designers to establish the equipment required to perform manufacturing or construction projects to standards, then investigate vendors and order it. Analyzing technical data and specifications to determine the equipment required for projects, evaluating equipment suppliers and negotiating purchasing agreements for facilities, and communicating with stakeholders about the nature and function of the purchased pieces of equipment all necessitate a high level of organization, record-keeping, convincing, and negotiation skills.
