FCC Regenerator Turnaround (Unit 55 – 55-R-202), Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, Baku

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the FCC Regenerator Turnaround at Unit 55 (55-R-202), as part of TAR2024 at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (HAOR), Baku.

Scope of Work Included:

• Complete dismantling and installation of 1st and 2nd stage cyclones

• Replacement of air distribution headers, injection nozzles, and shut-off valves

• Internal repair works on the regenerator shell and spherical dish

• Execution of NDT inspections, welding, lifting, scaffolding, and confined-space operations

Project Execution:

• The work was carried out under strict 24/7 shift operations

• Core activities were completed in just 25 days, following a 1-month pre-TAR mobilization phase

Key Outcomes:

• Full adherence to HSE and QA/QC requirements

• Strong collaboration with SOCAR’s Integrity and Reliability departments
